David Coblentz

David joined NZCER in 2021. In addition to an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Physics, David holds advanced degrees in Biostatistics (MS), History (PhD), and International studies (MA) from the University of Washington in Seattle. Prior to coming to NZCER and transitioning into an educational research career, David spent fifteen years as a biostatistician designing and analysing international clinical trials. David also has university teaching experience in history. His areas of interest include data analysis and data science, history education, and AI in education.
